Candidates Blitz 2024
Join us for a fun evening of blitz chess!
The Annex Chess Club is pleased to host the Candidates Blitz, an official side event of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2024.
Date and time: 8 April 2024, 8:00 p.m. and ASAP for subsequent rounds
Format: 9-round Swiss tournament, one section
Time control: 3 minutes + 2 second increment

Rating: CFC- and FIDE- rated. A valid CFC membership is required. The starting rank will be determined by the following rating lists, in order of priority: FIDE Blitz, FIDE Rapid, FIDE Standard, CFC Active, CFC Regular. FQE ratings will be taken at par. All other foreign ratings will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The Ajax Chess Club, in partnership with Annex Chess Club, is pleased to host the Candidates Rapid, an official side event of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2024.
Date and time: 16 April 2024, 6:30pm to 10:30pm
Format: 6-round Swiss tournament, one section
Time control: 10 minutes + 5 second increment
Rating: CFC- and FIDE- rated. A valid CFC membership is required. The starting rank will be determined by the following rating lists, in order of priority: FIDE Rapid, FIDE Blitz, FIDE Standard, CFC Active, CFC Regular. FQE ratings will be taken at par.

Prizes:
